David Atherton is a food-writer, podcaster and winner of The Great British Bake Off, 2019. David's love of cooking was inspired by his mother's freshly baked bread and cakes every week. His passion for food led to a career in healthcare as an international health advisor, spending time in UK Aid-funded hospitals overseas. David's mother's home cooking, inspiration from his travels and his knowledge in nutrition and healthcare inspire his recipes today.
